As it turns out Im a sucker for fragrances and perfumes, and I have recently embarked upon having a fair collection of fragrances. So I thought I'd do a review about one of my most favorite brands out there when it comes to fragrances which is The Body Shop. So this is what they have to say

Now on to the haul & review

I recently purchased two fragrances from an online site known as Lush Grooming Bargains - Smart Shopping Hub for Women and Men The owner of the page known as Hira, gets all her stuff directly from UK, is a very sweet and co operative person and I would definitely recommend anyone to buy any kind of stuff from her at the most knock out prices one can find. So I got myself two fragrances, White Musk Chiffon Sheer Body Mist and Dreams Unlimited Sun Fresh perfume.

The difference between a mist and perfume is that perfume is more long lasting. The advantage of getting a mist over perfume is that if you are on a budget, you can go for mist instead of a perfume.

White Musk is a gorgeous light note scent with Aqua as its main ingredients. Its not too overpowering, It last for about 3 hours on me which is pretty good for a mist. The bottle isnt too big either so you can easily carry it in your bag with for re touches.

Dreams Unlimited Sun Fresh perfume is a limited edition perfume from The Body Shop. This one lasted on me for what seemed like an entire day. The scent came off a bit strong for me, maybe citrus based scents arent my thing, Im not sure. I will wear it though without a doubt, its absolutely fabulous. It gives you an instant feel of summer and the sun so I am even more excited to use it in winter to remind me of the summer sun when the weather gets too depressing with rain around here. Its base note is citrus so if you are not a fan of citrus smells, dont go for this. Is it my favorite from The Body Shop? I would have to say No. Love Etc is still my ultimate love when it comes to fragrances from The Body Shop. But its a great scent as well so Im happy with it overall.

My only complain is that Body Shop stuff is very expensive so what I would recommend is that always wait for their end of year or mid year sales :D they slash prices upto 70% and hence thats a real bargain. Thats what I do and you should too :D

What do u guys think? Do you like Body Shop? :)

I read again! =P

So I finally finished reading The Casual Vacancy today, it was long over due but I finally managed to go through all of it. To start off I would like to say that JK Rowling is one of my all time favorite authors, I am a huge fan of Harry Potter series as I grew up reading it. So I was off the moon when it first got out that JK Rowling was coming out with an adult novel.

To start off with the positives, JK Rowling has made sure that this book is nothing like the HP series, first it is an adult novel but it still took me quite a while to grasp the kind of language used in it. Dont get me wrong, Im just saying as an avid reader of her previous books, this took me by surprise. Also her keen explanation of the characters is very commendable, she is one of the few authors who makes sure she not only explains the physical aspects of her characters well but also the inner workings of their minds.

Now on to the plot, its a story about a small town called Pagford and the demise of one its residents which sets everything in motion. It turns out that the deceased Mr Fairbrother was one of  the council members and with his death arises the question of who would be filling his seat hence The Casual Vacancy. The upcoming elections brings out the best and the worst in some. The first half of the book really dragged on, I mean I was literally skipping the pages, it wasnt boring, it was just I dunno irrelevant. The books picks up pace in 3rd part though, this is when things get interesting. It seems like every single family in Pagford is going through some kind of trauma, everyone's life is a spiral of disaster and no one is happy or content. This is quite a dark book, very depressing at points (as if we need that already) and unlike what it was in HP about good shall always prevail in the end no matter what, this book says otherwise. I dont want to give away everything for the rest who havent read it so I'll leave it up to you guys to find that out. It shows how much the absence of one person can have an effect on an entire community. This is not a cheerful book and it definitely wont be a pleasant read if you are looking for rainbows and frills, there is some dark humor in it though but other than that this is a dark book about dark times. If you think that reading this book will take you back to what it was like reading Harry Potter, I would definitely not recommend it.

Book Review !

I have tons of books on my wishlist and since I seem to have like literally ALL the time in the world, I thought why not get started on that wishlist of mine. I am currently reading 3 books whose reviews I will be putting up in a few days. To be honest I have been reading The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling since God knows when and in all my life I cant remember when I have ever been unable to finish a book in 2 days but this book did it for me, Anyway today's review isnt about that so moving on, I finished this book ''Can you keep a secret'' by Sophie Kinsella yesterday.

The moment I started this book, I knew it was a chic lit but no worries I told myself. I needed to read something which didnt require too much depth or thinking for that matter. To start off this book is about a mediocre girl with a mediocre job and a mediocre life who happens to bump in this multimillionaire tycoon one day and her life turns upside down. As it happens this filthy rich gentleman is equally into her as she is in to him. They both meet on a plane which gets into this awful turbulence and everyone thinks they are going to die. This is the moment when our 'girl on the street' starts blabbing out all the intimate and personal stuff about her life because of sheer nerves that she might end up dead any time soon. Of course that doesnt happen but the judgment call's already been made. I wont give away the entire storyline in case any of you is planning on reading it.

There are definitely a few laughing moments in it but other than that this book is just a time kill. For someone like me who doesnt really take it that well to romance in the first place, I found myself gagging on some points :D but oh well, at least it cheered me up a little bit. This book wont require you to use your brain cells neither will it ask you to give any of it much thought. Read it if you have nothing better to do with your life. Cheers ;)

Jewellery Haul & Review

Punk jewellery is the new rage these days, and it seems like every single online store is offering them. I have also gotten on the bandwagon of collecting a few treasured pieces for myself :P I mean who doesnt love cheap affordable jewellery ;). So recently I did a little bit of shopping from this online store known as Beauty Unleashed. They are an online store based in Karachi but they deliver all over Pakistan. You can check out the page and see for yourself what diversified stuff they have to offer. So I got myself 3 rings from their latest collection, had to wait for 3 months but it was worth it. Im obsessed with collecting rings these days so these were my first priority while placing order :D.

Im very happy with these since they didnt cost me too much to be honest. There are several other pages on face book providing the same stuff but at too high cost, seriously some of them are ripping people off. Which is why I chose to wait for the delayed shipment in the first place. Ok on to the review. As much as I loved these, I was kind of disappointed with the quality. The golden colour faded off even after just one wear, I always am very careful with artificial jewellery and try my utmost to keep it away form perfumes and water. but even then just by wearing it for a few hours, the color faded, that too just because of the a little moisture on my fingers due to sweat maybe. Im still ok with that since like I said, they dont cost much but it might be bothersome for others. So to sum it up

Pros:

Very trendy
Affordable
A large variety to choose from

Cons:

The golden color fades off after just one wear
Size might be an issue

This is my first official post as a blogger, so plz bear with me if I made any mistakes or blunders. I hope I will get better with time and practice :) Thank you for taking out time and reading. Would love to hear back from u guys :) xoxo
